Four injured in three crashes

KOTA KINABALU: A man sustained serious injuries while three others were slightly injured in separate accidents here, in Penampang and Kota Belud, Sunday. In the first accident, a Toyota Vigo driven by a man in his 20s skidded and crashed into a tree along Jalan Kompleks, near Kg Tempasuk 2, in Kota Belud.

The seriously injured man was assisted by villagers who rushed to the scene after the 3.58pm incident.

In the second accident, a Viva vehicle driven by a woman in her 20s crashed into a ditch along Jalan Kobusak in Penampang when she lost control of the vehicle in the 3.30am incident.

She was assisted by passersby plying the route.

In the third accident, a Kancil vehicle driven by a woman in her 40s crashed and landed on its roof along Jalan Lintas-Kepayan, near the Kota Kinabalu International Airport Terminal One, here.

It was learnt that the Kancil was heading towards Donggongon from Putatan when the driver tried to avoid hitting a Pakistani man who was cycling from Ganang towards Kepayan

They were assisted by passersby and traffic police who arrived at the scene.
