KOTA KINABALU: Luyang Assemblyman Hiew King Cheu said the abandoned 88 Market in Kepayan Ridge, here may soon be operational once the necessary documentation and agreements are signed between City Hall and the market management company. The news came when Hiew raised the question in the recent State Assembly sitting. "Many people in the vicinity of Kepayan would prefer to have a market there for them to do their marketing and shopping for their needs.

"City Hall said that they are working closely with the Peak 88 Management Sdn Bhd (formerly known as LD Biofuel Industry Sdn Bhd ) to use the 88 Market building in Kepayan Ridge as a market to sell food items and daily consumer goods to the people in the neighbourhood of Kepayan."At the moment, they are waiting for the completion of all the necessary documentation and the signing of the agreement before the operation and business can commence here in the market."
