LABUAN: The media fraternity continues to play its role in support of humanitarian and disaster relief.Labuan Information Department Director Materi Marusin said the media had built a platform for people at all levels to reach the needy via news coverage.Fire victims from three families in Kampung Gersik, Saguking here received food items and RM300 each from the Labuan Media Movement Association (LMMA).

"We hope this aid, which is part of LMMA's corporate social responsibility will help ease the burden faced by the victims," he said at the National Day Celebration Month and Media Engagement programme Tuesday night.
