TNB shares rise over A4 power plant project

Kuala Lumpur: Tenaga Nasional Bhd's (TNB) shares on Bursa Malaysia rose in early trade today following an announcement that it would submit an application for the 4A power plant project to the Energy Commission (EC) by March 15, 2015.As at 11.38 am, the counter rose six sen to RM14.72, with 4.11 million shares changing hands. On Tuesday, president/chief executive officer Datuk Seri Azman Mohd, said TNB was finalising the costs and details before submission to the EC.Meanwhile, on the proposed takeover of Integrax Bhd, Azman said, TNB was still adopting a "wait-and-see" attitude after revising its offer price to RM3.25 a share from the RM2.75 it initially offered. "We think it was a fair offer.We will see the response from the other party, after the Perak Corp meeting to be held soon," he added.
