A pitcher plant in the heart of city

Kota Kinabalu: Stunned by a pitcher plant encounter in the heart of urban capital city, an excited Daily Express reader Gabriel Chang decided to go public about his "first in my life" experience. The place? Damai Forest, he said."I was walking towards deeper into the 'rainforest' path where monitor lizards roam.

All of a sudden I saw a small baby pitcher plant for the first time in my life ," Chang exclaimed."I thought it is supposed to grow in Danum Valley or other forest reserves far from town but my goodness, it is here, among them include a green lizard. They are over here – wild flowers too, many other song birds like the tailorbird, chestnut munia sparrow and magpie robin. This is so interesting when I saw so many different types of plants and trees that I decided to put it up in the Daily Express," Chang said in his email.
