Kota Kinabalu: Cash prizes worth RM75,000 awaits the lucky golfers who shoot a Hole-In-One (HIO) during the Sedco Golf Challenge 2015 at Dalit Bay Golf and Country Club (DBGCC) near Tuaran on June 13.Organising Chairman Anthony Dumpangol said during a press conference in the State capital yesterday that the 13th edition of the Sabah Economic Development Corporation (Sedco) Championships is organised by the Social and Sport Club of Sedco Group (SG Club).The prizes for HIO on offer is RM50,000 cash, sponsored by Cement Industries (Sabah) Sdn Bhd for the Par-3 8th and 11th while those manage to get a HIO for the 17th hole will take home cash worth RM25,000 contributed by IIB Insurance Brokers Ltd.

A television is also up for grab for the Par-3 4th hole."The objective of this tournament is to raise funds for the Club's SG to further improve the communities' lives particularly those in the rural areas."This opportunity also unite the relationship between members of the Sedco groups, government agencies or sports associations around Kota Kinabalu that will take part," he said.The format of the tournament is using a System 36 Stableford offers selectable categories of participation for teams and individuals.

"The organiser provides three prizes for the Team Nett, five prizes for Individual Nett and three prizes for the Individual Gross."In addition, we also provide novelty gifts for who shot the farthest, closest to the pin and nearest to the line shot," he added.
