The “Norwegian Joy” passenger cruise ship in Labuan.
LABUAN: The world’s eighth largest passenger cruise ship “Norwegian Joy” dropped anchor here on Sunday, setting Labuan’s marine record as a safe haven for idle ships.

The vessel cannot be seen from the harbour because it is parked at an Off Port Limit (OPL) area but under the jurisdiction of the Marine Department.

Due to its enormous size, the reserve anchorage here for idle ships is now almost full.
