KOTA KINABALU: A fight between a group of young men was recently caught on video at a restaurant in Lintas, here.

It is understood that one youth has been detained to facilitate investigations after the Friday clash which happened at about 9.30pm.

Videos of the youngsters charging while throwing chairs at each other started making its round on social media immediately after the incident. The footages also showed coffee shop patrons watching in shock.

Prior to the incident, coffee shop owners said they saw a group of young men occupying four tables when another group came from behind.

A heated argument ensued between the groups which comprised about 20 people.

Shop owners tried to stop the fight but instead, the youngsters started throwing chairs and tables at each other. They fled when the police arrived at the scene.
