Man injured in croc attack
The river where the crocodile attack took place.
LAHAD DATU: A senior citizen was injured after being attacked by a crocodile when he was searching for clamps near Silabukan river, here, on Tuesday.

District Police Chief ACP Rohan Shah Ahmad said the incident occurred about 4pm when the 70-year-old was walking near the river with his wife and five others to search for clamps.

“While walking, a crocodile suddenly went up the shore and attacked the victim’s legs.

“Swift action by his friends who hit the crocodile’s head and eyes saved the victim who suffered injuries on his leg, right hand and stomach and was taken to the Lahad Datu Hospital for treatment,” he said.
