Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Tourism Board (STB) team and the Media Mix Team (MMT) drew 5-5 in a football friendly match held at the Likas synthetic pitch on Saturday.

STB Chief Financial Officer Julinus J Jimit, who also took part in the match, said the purpose of the programme was to strengthen the relationship between STB and the media.

“This is one of our programmes and activities to promote a healthy lifestyle by playing football or exercising.

“We are also grateful to MMT for accepting the invitation for this friendly match, and hopefully the good working relationship between the two parties will continue,” he said.

Meanwhile, MMT President Willie Jude said the friendly match has given the members the opportunity to get together after the long absence due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We are also grateful to STB for inviting us to this friendly match, and I hope that after this, MMT, which consists of former players, local artistes and other media partners, will be active again to hold more outdoor programmes, especially football matches,” he said.
