Kota Kinabalu: State Rural Development Minister Datuk Jahid Jahim, who was unwell while giving his speech in an event in Pitas on Saturday, is now in stable condition.
His officers managed to sit him down to rest before sending him to the district hospital in Pitas around 4pm, and the doctor confirmed that his condition was stable, according to his Press Secretary Joanes Robert Johnny.
He said Jahid was giving a speech to officiate a ceremony of handing over a Water Supply System under the MEKAR Sabah program@Pitas by Yayasan Petronas held at a multipurpose hall in Mangkapon Darat.
“The doctor confirmed that Datuk Jahid is in stable condition, however, he was transported to Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) 1 to get further treatment in an ambulance and left the Pitas hospital at 4.50pm,” he said to Daily Express when contacted today.
