Kota Kinabalu: A total of 615 people were bestowed with State honours by Governor Tun Juhar Mahiruddin at Istana Serin Kinabalu recently in conjunction with his 69th birthday.
Heading the list were five who received the Panglima Gemilang Darjah Kinabalu (PGDK) which carries the title of “Datuk”. They included Chief of Srikandi Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) Tuaran Division, Jamlilah @Jamaliah Antalip, Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of Sabah Development Studies (IDS), Prof Associate Professor Dr Ramzah Dambul, Daily Express Chief Editor Sardahthisa James and the Secretary General of Sabah Kadazandusun Cultural Association (KDCA), Suman @Sunsunah Yasambun. It carries the title “Datuk”.
Those who received the Ahli Setia Darjah Kinabalu (ASDK), included the Director of the Sabah Women's Affairs Department (Jhewa), Haslina Ismail, the Health Officer of the Kota Kinabalu Health Office, Dr Suhaila Osman, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Sabah Public Works Ministry, Hassan Mahali and Director General of the Housing and Urban Development Board, Rosemary Ahping.
Director of the General Welfare Services Department, Jais Asri, Sabah Public Works Director, Kamaludin Ag Abas, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student and Alumni Affairs) of Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), Associate Prof Dr Raman Noordin, Deputy Chairman of Sabah Islamic Religious Council (Muis), Malai Ali Malai Ahmad and former Deputy Director of Sabah Information, Harun Madassa.
Sabah Islamic Party (PAS) Commissioner Paumin @ Mohd Aminuddin Aling, Community Development Officer (PPM) of Sulaman, Murneh Lamsari, Director of Sabah Fire and Rescue Department, Abdul Razak Muda and Deputy Head of Bersatu Beaufort Division, Shahrom @ Omar Osin.
Juhar also awarded Ahli Darjah Kinabalu (ADK) to, among others, Deputy Director of Media and Communications in the Chief Minister's Department, Suzianah Jiffar and KK12FM Radio Presenter, Mohd Farish Aziz Sulaiman and Benreza Hezey Uzair Yahaya.
Tenom District Officer Mas Syazwan Masood and 1st Vice President of the Malaysian Armed Forces Veterans Association (PVATM), Awil Kamsari.
The Grand Imam of Sabah State Mosque, Suhaidi Kuanting, the Music Director of the Sabah Royal Malaysian Police Band (PDRM), Inspector Willbonoh Zain and the Deputy Director of Kota Kinabalu Central Prison, Prison Superintendent Alik Makim were among the 50 recipients of the Bintang Setia Kinabalu (BSK).
Ranau District Special Branch Head, ASP Helvin Ribus, Sabah State Education Department (JPN) School Management Sector Deputy Director, Abidin Marjan and Senior Assistant Accountant, Kee Y Kamariah.
