Cheaper deals during Ramadan

PAPAR: Malaysians will still able to buy essential items during Ramadan at cheaper prices through the Rahmah Sales Programme (PJR) in 450 locations across the country on Day 1 of Ramadan.

“Payung Rahmah Madani agenda” by maintaining a discount rate of between 10 and 30 per cent.

“In addition to the sale of dry necessities as usual, PJR Ramadan will involve sales of other daily wet necessities such as chicken, beef, fish and various seafood, as well as rice and chicken eggs.

“The PJR Ramadan will also supply essential items for baking Raya cookies and cakes like flour and sugar for Malaysians to make the preparations.

“The supply of products involved in this cheap sale also involves cooperation from other Government agencies such as the Federal Agricultural Marketing Board (Fama) and Malaysian Fisheries Development Board (LKIM),” he said.

Armizan, who is also Papar MP, said this after launching the Madani PJR at the Kinarut General Operations Force (PGA) Marching Field, here, Sunday.

He also presented contributions in the form of cash and dates to the Chairman of Masjid Kem PGA Kinarut in conjunction with the Ramadan month.

Also present were Kawang Assemblyman cum Yayasan Sabah Director Datuk Ghulam Haidar Khan Bahadar, Sabah PGA Commander ACP Abdul Rani bin Alias, Papar District Officer Mohd Fuad Abdullah and other senior officials.

Armizan said the effort is carried out by his Ministry (KPDN) and stakeholders is one of the initiatives under the Madani government to help ease the cost of living of the people to buy basic necessities at a cheaper price, especially during the month of Ramadan.

“We hope public will browse and check the schedule of 450 series of PJR Ramadan locations through the KPDN website link at https://www.kpdn.gov.my/ms/jualan-rahmah to find out the location of the programme.

“The launching of PJR Ramadan will be held at Putrajaya on the first day of Ramadan.

“We hope the programme could help the target group to buy cheap supply of wet and dry food items including making preparation for Raya cookies,” he said.

Of the 450 series of PJR Ramadan, Armizan said 50 series would be held in Sabah that has 25 parliamentary seats whereby each Parliament will hold two PJR Ramadan.
