There is also another rumour that got my attention that Stuart Wilkin’s contract with Sabah FC has in fact already expired and he is only on a gentleman’s agreement to represent Sabah FC until the end of the current season, which is only two months away.
SABAH FC will travel to Johor to take on the seemingly unstoppable Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) FC at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, Iskandar Puteri this Saturday (Jan 11).

The question on everyone’s mind is can Sabah FC pull off an upset or even get a draw from the match.

JDT FC are no doubt a very strong side and one of the top clubs in the region, therefore for us to beat them is difficult even if we are at our best.

Many will agree the Super League games are merely a formality for them to capture the title yet again.

Cosmobeauté Malaysia and beautyexpo will expand into East Malaysia with the launch of the Cosmobeauté Malaysia Borneo Festival 2026 at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) from May 25 to 26.
However, Sabah FC are on a good run and there is still a possibility to get a result but in order to achieve that, the players must be highly motivated.

The players need to play really hard and cannot afford to make any silly mistakes or else we will be severely punished by them.

The self belief in Sabah FC should be there as no matter how strong JDT are, there is always a chance to upset them.

Defeat before the match mentality should be thrown out and inserted with a win’s a possibility to overcome this high hurdle.

Any top teams will have an off day. Take Manchester City in the English Premier League as an example. They had a seven-match winless run recently.

They also suffered losses to lesser teams as well and this indicated that a formidable side can still be beaten.

Head coach Martin Stano has had a very good start with the team since taking over from Datuk Ong Kim Swee.

However, he needs to prepare the team really well for this very tough match and let’s hope that all the first team players are fit, healthy and ready for the task ahead.

Let’s do the talking on the pitch because there is no better place to do this than in front of their home fans.

On another note, rumours are going around that only six of the current teams are able to continue to participate in the Super League next season and the rest may have to stay out due to the high cost of running a club.

There is also another rumour that got my attention that Stuart Wilkin’s contract with Sabah FC has in fact already expired and he is only on a gentleman’s agreement to represent Sabah FC until the end of the current season, which is only two months away.

It will be interesting to see what the management’s plan for the new 2025 season is in regards to players etc.

Happy New Year!
