KENINGAU: Kelab Buaya Tembaga President Agustin A Nain urged that every club member consistently demonstrate strong character by fostering a respectful attitude and remaining mindful of the golfing community as a whole.
He emphasised that these core values must be practised regardless of association boundaries, whether interacting with fellow Buaya Tembaga members or with players outside the club, to ensure that the harmony of the sport is continuously preserved.

Addressing the BT 2026 President’s Cup Golf Championship at Keningau Golf Club, Agustin also placed serious emphasis on the aspects of discipline and adherence to the rules set by the association.
According to him, the integrity of every member is a reflection of the club’s good name; therefore, every player is responsible for maintaining the organisation’s dignity through professional behaviour on the course.
He also expressed his appreciation for the contributions of all parties and the lucky draw prize sponsors, who formed the pulse of the event’s success.
The highlight of the tournament saw the announcement of the eight selected players who will represent the club in Batam, Indonesia, in recognition of their outstanding performance.
The competition on the course witnessed the prowess of the players across various categories, namely the Cicak, Biawak, and Buaya categories. In the Cicak category, Jaidi Karim emerged as the champion with a net score of 62, followed by Geoffery @ Nicholas (66) and Herry Kunjan (67), while fourth place was won by Jaimus Owot.
The Biawak category was dominated by Adi Daniel Johnny with a score of 66, surpassing Carlson Ronnie (67) in second place and Andry Jeffry (68) in third, alongside two other close challengers in the top five positions.
In the thrilling Buaya category, Richard Madanan successfully took the top spot with a net score of 68 after going through the countback system (OCB).
He was fiercely challenged by Roger James in second place and Shahril Surim in third, both recording a score of 69 respectively, followed by the fourth and fifth-place winners who completed the list of the top group in that category.
Meanwhile, the Bulls Eye category was won by Carlson Ronnie.
For the Wanita category, Jelisia Suani proved her superiority with a net score of 71 to clinch the champion’s title.
She left behind her closest challenger, Angela Manjin, who took second place with a score of 76, followed by Malinjarah Nulantan in third place with a score of 78, while the remaining positions in the top five were filled by players who displayed an equally impressive fighting spirit.
The tournament, which used a Stroke Play format, concluded successfully as a key platform for strengthening camaraderie among members in a vibrant atmosphere.
