This was expressed during a recent visit by Royal Sabah Turf Club Chairman Datuk Peter Chin who led a delegation of 115 committee and club members to Hong Kong to attend two prestigious horse racing events – the Citi Hong Kong Gold Cup and the Queen’s Silver Jubilee Cup.

The events, organised by The Hong Kong Jockey Club, took place on Feb 23.

“Attending these world-class events provided our members with an exceptional opportunity to experience elite horse racing firsthand,” said Peter.

“More importantly, it allowed us to engage in meaningful exchanges with The Hong Kong Jockey Club, learning from their expertise and best practices,” he said.

Peter said participation in international events offers committee and club members’ valuable insights into current development trends in the horse racing industry.

He noted that The Hong Kong Jockey Club’s excellence in event organisation, horse training and industry development provides important learning opportunities.
