Ewon: Kaamatan ideal for promoting local products

PENAMPANG: Occasion like harvest festivals should serve as a platform to showcase community products and traditional related activities.
Minister of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development Datuk Ewon Benedict said he had directed agencies under his Ministry to actively participate in exhibitions to promote their respective roles and services for the benefit of the people.
Ewon, together with Jannie Lasimbang State Assemblywoman for Kepayan officiated the joint festivities of four villages located within the Kepayan area, namely Kg Kibouvang, Kg Matambai, Kg Sodomon and Kepayan Ridge.
One of the agencies, the Malaysian Cooperative Commission (SKM) under their Madani Sales programme, sold groceries at 30pc lower.
