Sabahan in national squad

Kota Kinabalu: State futsal player, Mohd Ridzwan Bakri will be leaving for New Zealand for the Commonwealth Futsal Cup that will start from July 10 until 12 at ASB Sports Centre in Wellington.The Sabahan will be part of the Malaysia futsal squad that is preparing for the AFF Cup to be held in Bangkok, Thailand on October 8 until 18.

Malaysia has been drawn in the same group with host Thailand, Brunei, Singapore and Timor Leste while in the other group consisted of Vietnam, Australia, Myanmar, Philippines and Laos.

The best 4 teams will automatically qualify for the AFC Championship.

Malaysia's first match in the Commonwealth Futsal Cup is against Vanuatu on July 10 before going up against host New Zealand the next day before ending the tournament against AFF Cup competitor, Australia on July 12.
