Umno Info Bureau to be revamped

Johor: Umno is in the midst of restructuring its Information Bureau, including adding new and young faces in efforts to strengthen the party ahead of the next general election. Umno Information Chief Tan Sri Annuar Musa said the restructuring exercise was deemed necessary to enhance the preparedness of the party and the matter had been communicated to the party's leadership."I have issued letters of appointment to those who are invited to sit in the bureau and the old bureau. In addition to bringing in new and young faces, we will also outline a new focus and strategy," he said.Annuar, who is also Dabong MP, was speaking to reporters after opening the Tebrau Umno Division Delegates' meeting which was also attended by Tebrau Umno Division Chief Datuk Maulizan Bujang, here, Saturday.Annuar, who replaced Datuk Ahmad Maslan as Umno Information Chief earlier this year, said the new bureau's first meeting would be held on Aug 21.He said, in addition to the restructuring exercise, the bureau would also focus on reaching out to young and new members of Umno with various messages and philosophies of the party.ADVERTISEMENT
