Masseur charged with murdering colleague in spa

Kota Kinabalu: A 25-year-old local masseur was charged at the Magistrate's Court here with murdering his colleague in a spa here.Jestery Ayang, who was brought before Magistrate Cindy Mc Juce Balitus, is accused of committing the crime on one Norfazlina Abantas, 19, between 12.01am and 1am on Oct 9 in a workers' room of the Borneo Spa, Jalan Mat Salleh, Tanjung Aru.No plea was recorded from Jestery after the charge was read out to him.

The court set Nov 17 for mention while waiting for the chemist's report and ordered Jestery remanded further as the charge against him has no provision for bail.Jestery was charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code which provides for the death sentence on conviction.He was represented by counsel Datuk Maijol Mahap.Meanwhile, another man, Wong Yeow Ming, was sentenced to a year's jail for trying to steal an electric socket from a premises here.

Wong admitted to committing the offence at 9.30am on Oct 16 in a premises at City Park, Jalan Pantai.Prosecuting officer, Inspector P. Nathan, told the court that Wong was detained by police who saw him inside the premises.

In another court, a 19-year-old Filipina was jailed 24 months for having a MyKad.Nor Fatinah Justin pleaded guilty before Magistrate Jessica Ombou Kakayun to having one Siti Nor Diannacy's MyKad bearing the serial number 011114-12-1208 in Kepayan at 2.30pm on Oct 16.She confessed to finding the MyKad by the roadside in Kota Belud.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.
