Kota Kinabalu: An upscale condominium project, SkyVue Residence, that is being developed in Kobusak, Penampang, will be officially launched at its sales gallery near the project site tomorrow (Jan 21). North Borneo Land Avenue Sdn Bhd, which is a subsidiary company of peninsula-based Eng Han Bina Sdn Bhd, is developing the 22-storey earthquake-resistant condominium of 200 residential units, including eight penthouses, that promises a panoramic view of the city, the Mount Kinabalu and South China Sea, once completed in 2019.

Its Managing Director GN Wong said the current economic uncertainties have not dampened bookings as over 60 per cent of the units have been booked with the buyers being from Sabah, Sarawak, the peninsula and Brunei Darussalam.

"We are officially launching the project this Saturday at the site where work progress has reached up to the third floor, so far, and will be officiated by Penampang District Officer Luvita Koisun at 11am.

But the event will be held from 9am until 5pm.

"We are calling on the public to come and see for themselves the special features of the project and its high quality amenities and facilities that will provide for the desired comfort and quality living.

"At the same time, we do not want them as well as the existing house buyers to lose the opportunity of enjoying attractive incentives," he said, when met at the company's headquarters office at KK Times Square, Thursday.

As an appreciation to those buying the units, he said they stand a chance to win the latest Honda Accord 2.0 worth RM140,000 that will be drawn tentatively in March this year.

"Early birds are also entitled to certain discounts such as five per cent rebate plus free legal and disbursement fee of the Sales Purchase Agreement (SPA), free legal and disbursement fee of loan agreement and 30 per cent of the residential units reserved for bumiputeras with five per cent discount.

"At the launching day, housebuyers also have the opportunity to get additional cash rebates when they spin a Wheel of Fortune from RM5,000 to RM50,000 this Saturday," he said.

Wong said the project is one of the most sought after due to its location just three kilometres radius from the city and four kilometres from the Kota Kinabalu International Airport and easily accessible via Jalan Pintas and the Penampang Bypass.

"Each unit ranges from a built-up area of 1,265 square feet (sq ft) to a spacious 3,254 sq ft ideal for professionals, investors, families or start-up families looking for a bigger home.

"Furthermore, the project will be installed with high quality facilities in a safe environment such as the children's playground, landscaped garden, swimming pool, wading pool, jacuzzi. BBQ area, a multipurpose hall, meeting room, a fitness centre and sky terraces with soothing green ambience every three floors.

"The most outstanding feature of the SkyVue Residence is its magnificent rooftop garden that is visible from every direction in Penampang," Wong said. To a question, he said the project guarantees 24-hour security guard surveillance, closed-circuit television (CCTV), intercom and multi-tier security system as well as access cards to the main entrance, residents' floors and public area including the rooftop garden.
