Kunak: A political party’s divisional committee member suspects the RM20,000 Balai Islam Kampung Bagiang here does not measure up to standards set by the State Federal Development Department (JPPS).He said this was based on the building materials used and its size. “Taking this into account, there is a great possibility that the allocation was not fully used,” he claimed.

In this respect, he urged the JPPS officers to inspect projects under their auspices to ensure, especially those in rural areas, were implemented according to specifications and not under valued.

Kampung Bagiang village development and security committee chairman Ali Tahassam when met confirmed that the Balai Islam was under JPPS, which allocated RM20,000 for it.

The hall hosts religious activities such as Al-Quran classes and Fardhu Ain as well as celebrations.
