Kota Kinabalu: The 20-year-old man who sustained serious bodily injuries after a Waja vehicle crashed into the Kancil he was travelling in on Saturday, succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday night. Also hurt in the accident were the Kancil's 27-year-old driver and two policemen who have been discharged from the hospital.According to his stepfather known only as Osman, the victim, identified as Azri Qusyairi Zulkifli, died at about 11.45pm.

It was learnt that his remains were brought to the Muslim cemetery along Jalan Kepayan for burial at about 10am the same day.

The impact caused the Waja to swerve towards the two policemen who were standing nearby before coming to a halt after skidding some 150 feet away from the crash site.
