IEM successfully retain golf title

Kota Kinabalu: The Institute of Engineers Malaysia, Sabah Branch (IEM) successfully defended its golf title at the Inter Professional Bodies Games (IPBG) 2022 with a team score of 145 points winning by count back over Malaysian Institute of Accountants, Sabah Branch (MIA) in the competition held at the Sabah Golf & Country Club on December 10.

MIA had also finished with 145 points while second runners-up were Malaysian Institute of Architects, Sabah Chapter (PAM) with 143 points.

The event is held once every two years among the seven professional bodies in Sabah, comprising Malaysian Institute of Architects, Sabah Chapter (PAM), The Institution of Engineers Malaysia, Sabah Branch  (IEM), Malaysian Medical Association, Sabah Branch (MMA), Malaysian Institute of Accountants, Sabah Branch (MIA), Sabah Pharmaceutical Society (SPS), Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia, Sabah Branch (RISM) and Sabah Laws Society (SLS), to promote fellowship among the professions.
However, the IPB Games 2020 had to be cancelled because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
