150 compete in PBS golf tournament

Kota Kinabalu: More than 150 players participated in the Open Golf tournament organised by PBS N56 Tanjung Papat division in collaboration with Ezy Kopitiam and Syarikat SBG at the Sibuga Golf Club in Sandakan recently.

The one-day competition held in conjunction with the 68th Merdeka Day celebration also offered attractive lucky draw prizes including a motorcycle in addition to the main winning prizes.

Organising chairman and division deputy chief Nelson Sikin, who is also Sandakan Municipal councillor, said the tournament not only helped to strengthen the bonds among the community, it also indicated PBS’ commitment to continue reaching out to the people through sports and community activities.

He also expressed his gratitude to all sponsors, participants and volunteers for their support.

Also present were PBS Youth Chief Datuk Dr. Christopher Mandut, Ministry of Local Government and Housing’s permanent secretary Datuk Dr. Jamili Nais and Johnny Ronggitom from the Sandakan Municipal Council.
