Sabah Maju Jaya houses for four Ranau families

RANAU: Four families in Paginatan breathed a sigh of relief when each received keys to their SMJ houses recently.
The four were Saiful Abli Bin Rubin from Kg Kaligan, Lohan, Alisah @Azurah Bte Amit (Kg Lohan), Safiah Aminuddin (Kg Randagung Baru) and Nur Alfirmi Lazarus (Kg Poring).

The handing over of all the keys to the SMJ House was done by the Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister and Assemblyman Datuk Abidin Madingkir.
Saiful was grateful for the assistance and expressed his gratitude to the State Government for being so concerned about the plight of the people.
Another recipient, Alisah thanked the State Government and Abidin for choosing her as one of the recipients.
Two other recipients of Rumah SMJ Safiah and Nur Alfirmi also expressed their gratitude to the GRS government, especially Abidin, for their kindness in realising their dream of owning a more comfortable home.

Abidin said under the GRS Government led by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Nor at least 20 units would be provided yearly.
“This is an initiative of the State Government to build houses for vulnerable groups apart from PPRT housing assistance,” he said.

Abidin hoped all 60 SMJ Houses approved until 2024 could be completed on schedule.
The Sabah Government launched the Rumah Mesra SMJ programme on Sept 28 to lift the people out of poverty and provide affordable housing for the B40 group.
