Malaysian ladies emerge champs
Kota Kinabalu: Malaysia team won the 10th Asian Ladies Invitational Interport Golf Tournament which ended at the Sutera Habour Golf and Country Resort on Wednesday.The team accumulated a total of 713 points to pip Mixed team, who managed a score of 708, by five points to take the title with Singapore team in third place with 705.

More than 100 lady golfers took part in the three-day event organised by Malaysia Ladies Golf Association (Malga) with support from Sabah Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Sabah Tourism Board.

Three different tournament venues were utilised each day with the opening rounds at Dalit Bay Golf and Country Club followed by Karambunai Golf and Country Club on the second day before the final rounds at Sutera Harbour Golf and Country Club.

The guest of honour at the closing and prize giving ceremony was Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment Datuk Christina Liew.
