Sunrider Malaysia to double sales target in 2019

Kuala Lumpur: United States-based herbal products company, Sunrider International, aims to double its sales target next year for its Malaysian subsidiary, Sunrider International (M) Sdn Bhd, following the opening of its new office building here in Jalan Ampang. Sunrider International Founder and Chairman Dr Tei Fu Chen said its Malaysian business raked in RM25 million in annual sales."We believe with the needs for health, financial freedom, time management and security, which we offer at Sunrider, the market will still be there and has the potential to continue growing," he told Bernama after the launch of its new office here, recently.

Sunrider Director of Regional Operations Shirley Tay said sales in the Malaysian market picked up by 30 per cent after the company started its direct selling business concept earlier this year."We need to work harder on the Malaysia market as there are potential opportunities which we can grab to grow the business bigger," she said.Tay said healthcare products contributed to the majority of its total sales and the remaining came from beauty and household products."We have invested RM7 million to build and renovate the new office building which is sprawled over 45,300 square feet.

"When we started operations at the new office last month, the feedback was overwhelming with foreigners making up a majority of our customers. So we believe that we are strategically located where embassies, shopping malls, restaurants and hotels are in abundance," she added.Since it started operations in Kuala Lumpur in 1989, Sunrider Malaysia has become the regional office for the South Asia region, overseeing the operations and growth of Sunrider offices in Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam since 2000.
