Kota Kinabalu: The incident near SK Sacred Heart where a 10-year-old pupil's cheek was pierced by an iron rod would not have happened if the school had allowed school buses to come to its gate and pick up the pupils.A concerned parent, who wished to be identified only as Chan, said the school headmaster had long prevented them from coming to the gate to pick up their children. That was why Huguan Isaac Linus was waiting for the school bus near the cathedral's parking lot. "Only today (Tuesday) one day after the incident happened, the school allowed us to come to the school gate to pick up our children," he said.
