During the visit, they also discussed with the healthcare personnel regarding the current disease situation, trends and the number of newly detected cases in their respective districts.
The exchanges provided valuable insights into the challenges faced by healthcare providers and the needs of affected patients.
Ku said, the initiative aims to strengthen collaboration with healthcare institutions while ensuring that patients, especially those in rural communities, receive greater support and care.
He added, several of the hospitals visited were located in remote areas and had never been visited by the association before and making the trip particularly meaningful.
Following the successful mission, the association expressed its commitment to extending its awareness campaigns, welfare assistance and patient support services to these newly visited areas.
The association also hopes that such visits will continue to foster closer cooperation with medical authorities and contribute to the ongoing efforts to combat TB and leprosy in Sabah.
