Crocodile found dead in fishing net in Kota Marudu
KOTA MARUDU: A crocodile was found dead when it became entangled in a fishing net at Kampung Marudu Laut, Thursday.

The complainant, who wished to remain anonymous, recounted his shock upon discovering the 3.5-metre-long reptile trapped and unable to break free from the net.

He urged the public, particularly fishermen and anglers, to remain highly vigilant when operating in rivers and coastal areas that could serve as crocodile habitats.

“Crocodiles will strike anyone who becomes complacent about their safety while out on rivers or the sea,” the complainant warned, especially children and fishing enthusiasts.

APM Kota Marudu confirmed they received the report from the fisherman, who discovered the reptile while hauling in a net he had set up in the area.
