No injuries after fire at Vestigo offshore installation

KUCHING: Petronas Carigali subsidiary Vestigo Petroleum Sdn. Bhd. (Vestigo) has confirmed that a fire occurred at approximately 2pm on Sunday at its West Lutong Vent A (WLV-A) facility, offshore Sarawak.

In a statement on Monday, the company said the situation has been brought under control, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

It said Vestigo is working closely with relevant authorities and has taken necessary precautionary measures to manage the risk of exposure.

“There were no injuries or personnel affected, and the incident posed no immediate threat to the surrounding communities and environment.
