Fisherman found dead after crocodile attack
The victim's body recovers from the waters off Pantai Kampung Mundas, Tungku.
LAHAD DATU: A man in his 20s was found dead after he was believed to have been attacked by a crocodile while collecting catches from his fishing net at Pantai Kampung Mundas, Tungku, on Tuesday.

Acting District Police Chief Supt Jimmy Panyau said the victim had gone to sea at about 7am to retrieve catches from a net he had set the previous day when he was attacked on the stomach and chest before disappearing beneath the water.

He said the victim's family members and villagers launched a search before the body was found floating off Pantai Kampung Mundas at about 10am, adding that the case has been classified as a Sudden Death Report (SDR).

Jimmy also reminded the public to exercise caution when carrying out activities in the sea and rivers following the incident, which came a day after a 12-year-old boy was found dead in a suspected crocodile attack at Sungai Tagupi Darat.
