Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Table Tennis Association (STTA) will be hosting the 44th Milo Malaysia Junior and Cadet Table Tennis Championship here at the Maksak Hall on September 16-20.
Its president Liaw Kian Boon made the announcement during a courtesy call to Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe recently.
He said the Senator was briefed by him on the progress and preparation of the event at the meeting.
He expressed his appreciation to Phoong for his continued support for the development of sports, especially among the young athletes and assured that the tournament will be organised professionally to provided a platform for young players from all over the country to compete and interact.
Phoong on the other hand, gave his support to the tournament and praised the state body for their commitment in the development of the sport.
He hoped the tournament would unearth more young talents and further strengthen the sport in the country.
