PENAMPANG: Mimpaagat Sabah Club emerged champions of the Battle Of The 60s football tournament organised by Unity Football Club at the sports stadium here.
Mimpaagat won 3-2 against GAB Membakut in a penalty shoot-out after drawing 1-1.

All the players were 60 and above, who prefer action on the field rather than being content with watching the 2026 World Cup on TV.
Unity Club manager Edwin Keegan Jomiji said the champions received RM7,000 cash prize, runners-up RM3,500, semi-finalist RM1,000 as well as trophies and medals.
Earlier in the semi-finals, Mimpaagat also won on penalties against Permata Hijau, while GAB Membakut defeated Team Internacional 2-0.
This veteran competition is held twice a year at the same stadium.
