Kota Kinabalu: Sabah is in a prime position to attract much investment funds as it is situated in the next highest growth region of the world in the middle of Asean, says former Bank Negara banker Tan Sri Andrew Sheng.
“Northeast Asia has leading technology and huge savings that will be shifting towards Southeast Asia. The Gulf war is also pushing capital eastwards towards East Asia and Asean countries.
“Malaysia with her excellent infrastructure and increasing GDP from FDI will remain attractive to foreign direct investors who are looking for stable, neutral jurisdictions to hedge global risks.”
He was speaking in an exclusive interview after a close door session with potentiol investors and industry players, Sunday.
