2025 Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund scholarship now open
TECO emphasises that Taiwan offers a variety of scholarship opportunities for Malaysians looking for further their studies. 
Kota Kinabalu: The Education Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Malaysia announced that the 2025 Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF) Scholarship Programme is now open for applications until March 15, 2025.

The Taiwan ICDF Scholarship is available to Malaysian seeking to pursue designated English-taught Master’s (2 years) or Doctoral (4 years) degree programmes at 19 distinguished participating universities in Taiwan, commencing in September 2025.

This scholarship is a fully funded programme, providing recipients with a range of benefits including return airfare, housing, tuition and credit fees, insurance, textbook costs and a monthly allowance of NT$18,000 (approximately RM2,600) for Master’s programmes or NT$20,000 (approximately RM2,900) for PhD programmes.

With an increasing availability of English-taught programmes and the Government’s commitment to fostering a Muslim-friendly environment, many international students are motivated to engage in full-time degree courses or to learn Mandarin in Taiwan. 

This year there are 29 English-taught programmes available across 19 participating universities, each with specific deadlines.

The programmes covers a wide range of fields, including tropical agriculture, business administration, international affairs, technology management, information systems and applications, global human resource development, international health, electrical engineering and computer science, aquaculture technology and management, pharmacy, educational leadership and management development, as well as tourism and hospitality.

Applicants must submit their applications through the Taiwan ICDF online application system (https://web.icdf.org.tw/ICDF_TSP/WelcomeStart.aspx).

Each applicant may only apply for one programme at a time.
