"We are targeting to commence services to Kota Kinabalu and Jakarta early 2027, subject to necessary regulatory approvals and operational readiness," he said after inspecting AirBorneo's operational readiness at Kuching International Airport on Friday.
Lee said the fleet expansion would enable the airline to introduce more domestic and international destinations, increase flight frequencies and offer passengers greater convenience and travel options.
AirBorneo will begin operating the Kuching-Kuala Lumpur route on July 20, followed by the Kuching-Singapore service on July 22, marking the start of the airline's phased network expansion.
