Historic four-peat

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah set a new record by taking the girls’ overall title for the fourth year in a row at the 36th Interstate Tenpin Bowling Championship at the Sunway Megalanes, Sunway Pyramid, Selangor on Tuesday.

Nur Jeehan Iezzaty, who won the gold medal in the Single Youth Girls category on the first day delivered another gold on Tuesday in the Youth Girls All event.

The girls finished with two golds, one silver from Chloe Ho in the Singles Youth Girls, two bronze medals in the team event (Chloe Ho, Natalie Chong, Nur Aleeya Syakirah, Nur Jeehan Ieazzaty) and doubles event (Nur Jeehan Ieazzaty, Chloe Ho).

Meanwhile twins Nurul Ayunni Junaidi and Nurul Alyssa Junaidi, who won the Women’s Doubles on Monday, delivered another gold with Intan Qistina Tamring and Siti Nurafiqah Satal in the Women's Team event.

The State contingent ended the three-day campaign with a total of five golds, one silver and four bronzes to finish second behind Selangor in the overall standing.
