Three held, syabu seized in Lahad Datu

LAHAD DATU: Police arrested three Filipinos and seized syabu worth RM632.50 during Op Tapis conducted at Dataran Palma, Jalan Reno Fajar and Kampung Bakau, Tuesday.

Acting District Police Chief Supt Jimmy Panyau said the arrests led to the seizure of seven translucent plastic packets containing about 5.75 grammes of suspected syabu.

He said urine tests showed two of the suspects, aged 36 to 45, tested positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine, while another tested positive for methamphetamine.

The case is being investigated under Section 12(2) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.

All suspects are being detained and will be remanded for further investigation.
