Threads post highlighting his assistance to members of the public went viral.
Threads user @alyadanielmaleky said the man helped her and her mother complete official forms "so neatly and carefully" while they were at the office, adding that his assistance made the process much easier.
"When it came to filling out the forms, we asked an elderly uncle to help us. He completed everything so neatly and carefully. Thank you, Uncle," she wrote.
The user also said the man was 87 years old, adding that one of her friends told her he had previously worked as an officer with the National Registration Department (JPN).
