Kota Kinabalu: A Sarawakian claimed trial at the Sessions Court here on Friday to a charge of cheating a man of RM31,050 over the rental of premises for a Go-Kart business.
Racha Willie, 27, from Lawas, Sarawak, pleaded not guilty before Sessions Court Judge Amir Shah Amir Hassan after the charge was read to him.

Racha was accused of cheating Ng Chin Wei by inducing him to believe that he could assist in securing a premises at KK Sentral for a Go-Kart business.
The alleged dishonest act resulted in Ng handing over RM31,050 to Racha for arranging the matter.
The offence was allegedly committed at the parking lot of the Kota Kinabalu International Airport between July 27 and Oct 16, 2025.
Racha was charged under Section 420 of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum jail term of 10 years, whipping and a fine upon conviction.
The court fixed Aug 13 for mention of the case.
Racha was granted bail of RM10,000 with RM5,000 in two local sureties. He was also ordered to report to the nearest police station once a month.
The court further ordered him to surrender his international passport, if any, until the disposal of the case and warned him not to interfere with prosecution witnesses.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Nurul Shafeerah Mad Iskim prosecuted, while counsel Bartholomew Jingulam represented Racha.
