Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Education Department (JPN) has taken immediate action following an incident involving a student who fell within a school compound in Papar recently.
The school promptly provided initial assistance, informed the student's family and the police, and secured the area to prevent panic.

The student received medical examination and treatment at the hospital and, according to the medical report, did not sustain serious injuries and is in stable condition.
JPN Sabah said the student's welfare, safety and emotional well-being remain under close monitoring, with psychosocial and emotional support also being provided to those affected within the school community.
The department said it would cooperate fully with the authorities' investigation, adding that the school's preliminary findings found no elements of crime or bullying, while urging the public not to spread unverified information that could disrupt the investigation or affect the well-being of the student, family and school community.
