BEAUFORT: A 23-year-old man is believed to have fallen from a building at Cerah Commercial Centre here on Thursday night at about 8.30pm, said Beaufort District Police Chief Supt Champin Piuh.
“Police received information regarding a 23-year-old local man who was found dead in the parking area beneath a building at Cerah Commercial Centre,” he said.

A medical officer from Beaufort Hospital confirmed the victim’s death at the scene.
An immediate investigation was launched by the Criminal Investigation Division of IPD Beaufort, including a scene examination, recording statements from the victim’s family members and forensic procedures to assist in the investigation.
“The case has been classified as a Sudden Death Report (SDR), and police are still investigating to determine the actual cause of the incident,” Champin said.
The public has been advised not to speculate or spread unverified information until investigations are completed.
