Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Youth Tenpin Bowling Contingent dominated nearly all events in the NSC-Milo-MTBC-Sportexcel Junior Circuit 2026 Sabah Round, held at KK Galaxy Bowl, Centrepoint Kota Kinabalu from July 21 to 23.
They secured victories in four out of the six categories contested in the annual championship, the second series following the first in Sarawak, featured competitions divided by gender and age categories, including Under 12 Years, Under 15 Years (Graded), and Under 18 Years (Open).
The four gold medals were won by Aisyah Hana Anugerah Mohd Haidir from SJK © Shan Tao Kota Kinabalu in the Girls Under-12 category, Ahmad Syahmi Ahmad Jaludin (SMK Pengalat) in the Men’s Graded category, Dayang Hasya Izz Zayani Abang Mohd Hafiff (SMK Perempuan Likas) in the Women’s Graded category and Muhammad Zaki Abdul Rahman in the Men’s Open category.
They also claimed three silvers through Muhammad Hafiz Saiful (SRK St Agnes) in the Boys’ Under-12 Boys, Adam Damia Shairini (SM Maktab Sabah) in the Boys’ Graded , plus two bronze medals from Chloe Ho Rui Zhi (SM Tshung Tshin) in the Women’s Open and Muhammad Faris Faiq Afillah SM Maktab Sabah) in the Men’s Open.
Sabah Tenpin Bowling Association president Rozzainny Sham Talip, who congratulated the state contingent on their achievement said the points collected by several Sabah athletes also qualified them for the Grand Prix Sportexcel Junior Circuit national level finals at Sunway Megalanes this December.
