Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Immigration Department detained 103 suspected illegal immigrants during a series of enforcement operations conducted in Kota Kinabalu, Keningau, Sandakan and Tawau.
The department said 500 individuals were screened during Ops Kutip, Ops Belanja, Ops Jaja, Ops Sapu, Ops Selera and joint enforcement operations, with those detained suspected of immigration offences, including not possessing valid travel documents and breaching the conditions of their passes under the Immigration Act 1959/63.

The arrests comprised 32 foreign nationals in Kota Kinabalu, 21 in Keningau, 28 in Sandakan and 22 in Tawau, involving citizens of the Philippines, Indonesia, Pakistan and India, including adults and children.
In a statement, the department said enforcement operations would continue from time to time to curb the presence of illegal immigrants and ensure compliance with the country's immigration laws.
It also reminded the public not to harbour, employ or assist foreigners found to be violating immigration laws and urged anyone with information on illegal immigrants to report the matter through the Sabah Immigration Department's official complaint channels.
