TONGOD: Police arrested two foreign men, including one suspected of drug trafficking, during a raid at an oil palm plantation in Kampung Imbak on Wednesday.
Beluran police chief Supt Hasan Majid said personnel from the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Division of the Beluran police headquarters carried out the operation, arresting a 34-year-old man who allegedly did not possess valid identification documents.

He said police seized 52.23g of syabu, estimated to be worth RM5,000, from the suspect, who is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for suspected drug trafficking.
A second suspect, a 41-year-old foreign man believed to be a drug buyer, was found with 0.24g of syabu and is being investigated under Section 12(3) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for drug possession.
Hasan said Beluran police would continue intensifying efforts against drug-related crime and urged anyone with information on drug trafficking or abuse to contact the Beluran District Police Headquarters at 089-511222.
