Istana Seri Kinabalu Liaison Secretary Datuk Abdullah Hussin said the gathering, personally initiated by Tun Musa, was held to express appreciation and gratitude to the former officials for their significant contributions to Sabah’s administration and development.
He said their dedication and years of service had helped drive the state’s administrative success and development, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire and be carried forward by a new generation of civil servants.
Abdullah added that the gathering not only strengthened ties between Musa and the former senior government officials but also reflected the continued appreciation of the state leadership institution for those who had served as key pillars of Sabah’s administration.
The event began with a group photograph with Musa, followed by a thanksgiving prayer led by Istana Seri Kinabalu Religious Officer Ustaz Zulfawzi Awang Besar.
Guests were later treated to a luncheon accompanied by musical performances by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Sabah Contingent Combo.
