Kuala Lumpur: A Malaysian content creator has apologised after drawing criticism for falsely claiming that McDonald's restaurants in Singapore are not halal and serve pork.
The video, originally posted by TikTok user @muiznazmi before being deleted, resurfaced after it was shared in the Facebook group Complaint Singapore, where it has attracted about 20,000 views.

In the video, he claimed Muslims could not eat at McDonald's restaurants in Singapore because they allegedly served pork while praising Malaysia's food variety and convenience over countries including Singapore, China, Japan and Korea.
Social media users quickly disputed the claim, noting that all McDonald's restaurants in Singapore have been halal-certified by the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (Muis) since 1992, a fact also stated on McDonald's Singapore's official website.
The content creator later apologised on Facebook and TikTok for the inaccurate remarks, while the incident sparked online discussion on the importance of verifying information before sharing claims, particularly those involving halal certification.
