PENAMPANG: Police arrested three men in two operations against drug trafficking activities here on Thursday.
In the first operation at Beverly Hills, Jalan Bundusan, at 2pm, a 28-year-old foreigner was arrested and 83.83gm of suspected ecstasy powder and 1.42gm of ketamine were seized.

In the second operation at a condominium at 3.40pm, two 22-year-old locals were arrested and 81.39gm of suspected ecstasy powder and 1.75gm of ketamine were seized.
Several vehicles and mobile phones believed linked to the drug trafficking activities were also seized.
Acting Penampang District Police Chief ASP Arisanti Aziz said the cases are being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, which carries the death penalty or life imprisonment of up to 30 years, and not fewer than 12 strokes of the cane, upon conviction.
He urged the public to report any information on drug and other criminal activities.
“Public cooperation is crucial in our efforts to combat drug trafficking and safeguard the community,” she said.
